Your new role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering robust, scalable data solutions within a modern cloud-based ecosystem. Working within an Agile product team, you will contribute to the development of advanced data platforms, ensuring the efficient transformation of raw data into valuable insights.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines across cloud environments, transforming data from multiple sources into structured formats;
Develop scalable batch and streaming solutions with monitoring and alerting capabilities;
Build and maintain complex datasets to support business and analytical needs;
Contribute to data governance initiatives, including metadata management and data quality controls;
Perform data modelling and design database structures (tables, views, procedures);
Optimize queries and processing performance for large-scale data environments;
Support production activities, including troubleshooting, monitoring, and user support;
Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions;
Ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices;
Continuously seek improvements in performance, scalability, and reliability of data solutions.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field;
Proven experience in data engineering within cloud environments (AWS ecosystem);
Strong knowledge of services such as S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, SNS/SQS, IAM, and CloudWatch;
Advanced SQL skills with experience in analytical databases;
Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries for data processing;
Solid understanding of data architecture, modelling, and governance principles;
Experience with data warehousing solutions (Snowflake is highly valued);
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control systems (e.g. Git);
Exposure to orchestration tools such as Airflow or similar;
Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools is advantageous;
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and performance optimization;
Experience working in Agile environments;
Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
