Your New Mission
You will take ownership of critical core banking applications, ensuring their stability, evolution, and alignment with business needs.
Your mission will be to combine hands-on technical expertise with coordination responsibilities, acting as the key point of contact between IT and business areas such as operations and accounting.
You will play a central role in maintaining system reliability while driving continuous improvements and managing the development pipeline.
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage and evolve core banking applications (including BANKA, MM, Accipiens, and custom COBOL systems)
Ensure system availability, proactively monitoring performance and resolving incidents when they arise
Act as the main bridge between IT and business teams, particularly Operations and Accounting
Coordinate and prioritize development activities, distributing tasks across the team
Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and data integrations with external systems (e.g., website, ERP)
Support bug fixing, parameter adjustments, and user-related corrections within core systems
Define monitoring processes, alerts, and operational playbooks to ensure system resilience
Act as a hands-on technical reference, contributing directly to development and problem-solving
What You Need to Succeed
Must Have
Strong experience working with core banking systems
Proven experience with COBOL and RPG in enterprise environments
Advanced knowledge of SQL (queries, stored procedures, data extraction)
Experience managing or coordinating application development pipelines
Solid understanding of banking operations (payments, credits, accounting flows)
Ability to work in a hands-on role with ownership of critical systems
Strong communication skills to liaise with both technical and business stakeholders
Nice to Have
Experience with core banking platforms such as Promosoft or similar
Background in financial institutions or insurance with strong banking exposure
Experience in system monitoring, incident management, and production support
Previous experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
