Your new company
An international financial institution, part of a leading global banking group, is launching a new operational hub in Lisbon, within a context of growth and transformation.

Your new role
As Head of Operations, you will play a key role in setting up and developing the operation in Portugal, combining strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in day-to-day activities.
Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the development of the Portugal hub, ensuring alignment with Group standards and objectives;
  • Overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and regulatory compliance;
  • Acting as the main point of contact with the international headquarters, promoting effective coordination across teams;
  • Managing operational incidents and leading the implementation of improvements and new processes;
  • Defining and executing the talent strategy (recruitment, development, and team management);
  • Managing outsourcing partners, ensuring adherence to SLAs and service quality;
  • Defining and overseeing operational controls, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Monitoring operational KPIs and supporting decision-making;
  • Coordinating internal and external audit processes;
  • Promoting a culture of excellence, integrity, and alignment with the Group’s values.

What you will need to succeed
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in banking operations, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within an international environment;
  • Solid knowledge of risk, operations, and regulatory frameworks;
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills;
  • Experience in operational transformation and process improvement;
  • Fluent English (French is a plus).
